West Asheville is a cute nieghborhood to stay in, but far from downtown if you don’t have a car. Friendly people, nice staff. Good interenet connection. Only one bathroom on the main floor, though. Pretty clean.

Bon Paul and Sharky’s has been the best hostel I have stayed at yet. I felt very welcomed into an already relaxed and fun atmosphere. Everyone had something great to recommend that I try, such as hiking trails and restaurants. The people I met along the way were diverse and interesting as well. It’s located in West Asheville, which gave me a taste of other areas other than downtown. I didn’t get a chance to hop in the hottub for lack of time doing other fun things, but there’s always next time! Bon Paul and Sharky’s is definitely where I’ll be crashing the next time I’m in Asheville!Bon Paul and Sharky’s has been the best hostel I have stayed at yet. My friends and I had a wonderful stay. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly hippy staff. I highly recommend spending an afternoon sitting at the dinning room table playing the board game Clue: Museum Caper. Good times!

The owners were quite friendly and sociable. A great place to socialize/meet people and/or be quiet and plan a fantastic exploration of Asheville.

Everything! The staff and other guests were so friendly. The whole place was clean, especially the bedrooms. The front and back porches were great for meeting/getting to know new people. I felt safe in the neighborhood, and it was convenient for restaurants and food stores. It was a very quick ride to downtown.
